Nanbu-Dori Tamago

Nanbu-Dori Tamago

Nanbu-Dori Tamago are laid by young laying hens, between 120 to 480 days old. In common, Laying hens are more commonly between 120 to 700 or to 1000 days old, which means that Nanbu-Dori Tamago is more healthy and fresh compared with other eggs.

We breed parent stock 80 chickens to 3.3 square meter to reduce stress. In general, poultry farmers breed 100 to 200 chickens to 3.3 square meter. We also use bigger cages than usual in Japan.

We use feed with special ingredients including corns, seaweed (which contains a lot of vitamins and minerals), oyster shells (a good source of calcium), powdered sea tangle (from Hidaka in Hokkaido), and apple fiber. These ingredients make parent stock lay healty and tasty eggs.
